Window Light

Window Light

Window light is likely one of my favorite type of lighting in both spaces, still lifes, and portraits.

This image is one example of studio lighting emulating soft window light, with a lensbaby for an extra painterly effect and finished off with a vignette.

This self-portrait was created with a softbox and a small kicker, for the subtle highlight on the back.

An open aperture, a compelling subject or angle, and a giant window is all you need to have a subject looking soft and radiant.

One Response so far.
